486 Systems
In 1989 computers were given a boost in speed with the 486 25-50MHz. At the time, this was a dynamite machine that handled work faster than earlier models. But, today’s new applications need more speed. It is time to step up to a pentium system.

In 1993, the Pentium forever changed our idea of acceptable performance. With internal clock speeds starting at 66MHz, the Pentium processor is truly a leap ahead. The built in memory cache helped prevent wait states on the computer.
Pentium processors handle instructions using a methodology called Complex Instruction Set Computing (CISC). The CISC processor wades through longer instructions of equal length, so it does less work per clock cycle. Dual Pentiums improve system performance by up to 70% for certain operating systems.

ALLIANCE Pentium Pro Computers
In 1995, the Pentium Pro was introduced to be even faster than previous processors with initial internal clock speeds of 150MHz, 180MHz, and topping out at 200MHz.
The Pentium Pro processor’s speed is the result of Dynamic Execution, a unique combination of techniques that allows the processor to efficiently manipulate data. Instead of merely processing a sequence of instructions, as earlier-generations chips do, the Pentium Pro processor can actually anticipate jumps in the program flow. The processor then determines the most efficient processing sequence by handling some instructions while it continues to look, up to 30 instructions ahead, for useful work to perform.
You need a Pentium Pro processor if you have high-end workstations and/or mixed operating system environments.
